Front Desk Staff/Dental Assistant AND Registered Dental Assistant
We are a small and fast growing general practice dental office seeking a full-time Front Desk Staff/Dental Assistant AND a full-time Registered Dental Assistant to join our team.
Our office provides the best possible patient care, as well as a great working environment for our staff. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team players with positive attitude, good people skills, and professional written and verbal communication skills. You must have a great work ethic, be punctual, and able to multi task. We are looking for someone that isn't afraid to take initiative, and can adapt to change.
The ideal candidate should be able to meet the following requirements and perform the following duties:
Front Desk Staff/Dental Assistant
Knowledge of using Dentrix or dental software is a plus.
Previous experience working in a dental office is desired.
Answer and respond to telephone calls with professionalism.
Verify patient's insurance eligibility and benefits.
Confirm patients’ appointments.
Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time.
Fill in cancellation and no-show appointment times.
Manage recall and inactive patient system.
Help explain office policy to patients.
Collect payment from patients at the time of treatment.
Make follow-up appointments as needed.
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) / Dental Assistant:
Provide best-in-class patient care service.
Able to fabricate temporaries, take impressions, position matrix bands for composite fillings, place a rubber dam, use intraoral camera, chart patient’s condition and procedure in Dentrix Dental Software.
Provide instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to treatment area; positioning instruments for dentist's access.
Prepare treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
Review patient's record to determine what instruments and material will be needed and lay them out.
Provide oral suction, retraction and other assistance during oral surgery.
Take X-rays of teeth and jaws.
Provide routine post-operative instructions to patients
Sterilize instruments, utensils, dressings and equipment
Clean dental rooms and equipment
Maintain patient records by indicating the type of work performed
Procure charts and records needed by the dentist
Schedule patients, inventories supplies and orders routine supplies as needed
