Description
Join our team as a Dental Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors alike. In this role, you will manage in-bound calls, patient scheduling, and help create a smooth flow of clinic operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in dental office management while supporting a caring environment. Potential for FT in the near future for the right candidate. Compensation is negotiable, but dependent on skill.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage check-in/check-out procedures.
- Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently utilizing dental software; coordinate with clinical staff to optimize daily clinic flow
- Gather insurance information while maintaining HIPAA compliance standards
- Review and update records, ensuring documentation review aligns with clinical confidentiality policies and health information management protocols
- Handle phone communication with professionalism, providing excellent patient service while managing appointment inquiries and follow-up calls with proper phone etiquette
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions, care plans, and billing details
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, typing (including 10 key typing), and maintaining office supplies to ensure a well-organized front desk environment
Qualifications
- Experience in a dental office setting , demonstrating familiarity with front desk operations and administrative support
- Strong and proficient computer skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and coding standards for accurate documentation
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse patient populations
- Ability to review documentation thoroughly while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies; clerical experience is preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing dental records and appointment schedules
- Office experience that demonstrates professionalism in handling multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Nice to have Eaglesoft experience.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27.0 – 33.0 per week
